Looking at buying some 22" wheels off a 98 Dodge Ram 1500. I want to know if they will work on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. Asking this because of the hub diameter.

Q: I have a 2004 Dodge Ram and it has 104,000 miles on it. 2 times now in the last 6 months it will just turn off?
Both times it turned off I was slowing down to stop and the engine just shut off. I put the truck in neutral and started it and it starts right back up. I'm not sure what could be causing this or where I should even start to diagnose it. I'm thinking maybe a new fuel filter or could it be something else?
A: i have seen a lot of ignition switches go bad in those trucks and do that,and if it gets low on fuel and does it ,this could be a filter stopping up on it ,id check the ignition switch real good on it though,good luck with it.
Q: how much would it cost to fix a driveshaft on a 2004 dodge ram 1500?
At first I thought it was the rear end that was making the squealing noise but with further investigation it was the drive shaft that was making the noise when accelerating. I called my local dodge dealer and set up an appointment to have them fix whatever the problem is but was wondering what could it be and how much to fix it
A: if they just have to replace the u-joints in it,they,ll get you for about 150 bucks probably,you could have got a local shop to do this one for about 80-90 bucks and that's counting the u-joints and labor,it doesn't cost much to replace those and people who tell you its a hard job obviously haven't done it too much, it takes me less than an hour to do both joints in them,good luck on it.
Q: 2004 Dodge Ram Check engine light?
Hi. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 that has had regular oil changes and has run perfect. The other morning the temperature dropped to -10 C (14 F) and the check engine light came on. There is no noticeable problems with the truck and it still runs fine, any ideas why the light came on? Thanks!
A: the first thing you need to really do is take it and have someone scan the computer on it and see if any trouble codes come up on it,its also possible the cold weather got a sensor and that will cause the light to come on ,it was probably just a soft code that set the light to come on, but its still a real good idea to find out which one it was,if you,ll take it by any auto zone store they,ll scan it for free then you,ll know for sure what caused this to happen,if it doesnt happen again i wouldnt worry about it,as long as its running good and no problems are taking place drive it,it will let you know if theres a problem by flashing the light again,good luck.

A: Its near the front of the engine, above the oil filter.

A: 3.55 if it is automatic; 3.73 or 4.10 if it's standard. should be on the door post on drivers side or a small tag on the rear "pumkin"
OppS!!!, they were right they dumped the 3.55 at 2004, i thought it was 2005 that they got rid of it.

Q: where is the air release valve on a 2004 dodge ram 1500 4.7 liter V8?
It's to release the air out of the engines coolant system. I replace the thermostat but I can find the nut, valve or what it is I need to release the air out of the coolant system.
A: There is no release valve or nut on that model truck. Take the radiator cap off the tank and run the truck. Squeeze the upper hose while running and that will help with removing the air from the system.
Q: Do all 2004 dodge ram hemi's have those 20" chrome wheels?
Just curious, there is one for sale cheap with a bad motor, need to visit a shop a while away. All i know its a 4 door hemi 2004 4x2 or 2 wheel drive. Thanks
A: no. The lower models have an 17" wheel that's not the same style. Also, the 2500 rams have those same wheels. And by the way, chrome wheels on the rams that year are not chrome metal. They have a chrome clad plastic cover over the steel wheel. You may think this is bad but it's really not. Dodge put thought behind this. It will keep the wheels from corroding from things like salt. Also the outer rim is clear coated aluminum on those wheels. Hope this helped. Good luck.

I have a 2004 dodge ram cummins,I never noticed hearing this before,on passenger side firewall there is a ,what I assume a vaccum pump which I hear from inside the cab.When I popped the hood it turns on intermittley is this normal or should it run constant,whats it for? Thanks for your reply.
A: sounds like a fuel delivery pump for the fuel it needs replacing non the less
Q: 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Running Tail Lights & Upper Cab Running Lights Are Out?
Head lights, break lights & turn signals still work. If I have a bad circuit board on one of the tail lights, would that cause the other side and the cab/roof lights to go out? Fuses are for one side of the Truck. Left & Right Side, both ckecked out good. Any suggestions?
A: My boyfriend says that there is a plug under the driver's side of the cab for the taillight wires that may have came apart,or needs to be cleaned
Q: Wear is the air ambient temperature sensor on a 2004 dodge ram 1500?
my check engine light is on and my code comes out to be that my aat sensor is in stuck open but I don't know wear the sensor is located on the truck do u know.
A: Most times it is located in/on/near the front grille toward the bottom.
It doesn't look like much and can fool you into thinking it's something else.
It should be a small, pointy, plastic piece with a one or two wire plug going into it.
Q: How do you change headlights from a 2004 Dodge Ram?
A: what are you wanting to change them too,to change the bulbs all you do is gain access to the back of the head light and twist off the socket and remove the bulb,that's a simple job on those trucks,good luck.

I got a 2004 dodge ram 1500 quad cab hemi with 60,000 miles on it. What grade of gas should I be using, regular or premimun. The trip computer always says I am averaging 12 miles per gallon...is this correct or should i take it to the dealer...any suggestions???
