A: im not exatly sure about this but it might 85 amps or so maybe a little less. my 2000 explore 4.0 OHV is around 85. but im nore 100% positive. you might be able to find it in the owners manual. hope that helps
Q: How do you replace ignition switch on 1994 Ford Ranger.?
Does anyone know how to replace ignition switch on a 1994 Ford Ranger, if the current ignition switch is broken/stripped, and the key is missing. Detailed and or video of how to please.
A: If you mean the ignition LOCK..the steering wheel doesn't need to come off. The lock has to be turned to the on position to remove, by pushing the retainer in the hole that's on the bottom of the ignition. If no key or it wont turn, it needs to be forced with a special tool or drilled to get it to turn. Sorry I cant find a video or pics yet for this.

I have had the windshield replaced but my dash is never wet and the carpet under the dash where the water would run in dry?

A: Could be your AC condensation drain is plugged. Worse yet would be leaking heater core, but this would look or smell like antifreeze if you have it in your radiator.

A: a cherry bomb will make it sound horrible.
If you want a good sound, you can get a dual stage flowmaster.
the Ranger motors are really designed to be muscle/torque engines, they don't like to be revved up, they produce power, even the 4cyl motor.
If you want good sound, get a full catback system, it'll cost about $500 and a set of JBA Headers.

A: There are a total of 11 recalls on the 1994 Ford ranger.
There are 3 recalls on the breaks, 1 on the fuel emissions and exhaust controls, 1 on the interrior systems, 4 on the lighting and communications systems, and 2 on the suspension and wheel system.

Q: I need repair instructions for exhaust for 1994 ford ranger splash.?
Is there printable instructions for exhaust removal and installation? I have a 1994 ford ranger splash ext. cab 6 cyl. 4.0L .
A: you might be able to find that in a Haynes repair manual, but, if the system has never been replaced yet, its all one piece from the catalytic converter back to the tail pipe. these systems are installed on the vehicle before the rear end is put on. thus you must replace it in sections. the pipe behind the converter, the muffler and then the tail pipe. unless you have access to a torch and the tools and are able to put the vehicle up off the ground, you wont be able to do it. take it to either a midas or meineke shop and let them do it. they have the right parts and Equipment to do the job.

A: Doesn't matter if it's two-wheel or four-wheel drive. The fan clutch is the part that turns your engine fan once the coolant heats up enough to warrant its use. So the only thing that matters is the engine itself.
The clutch itself would run somewhere less than $50. Expect the job to take a couple hours of labor at a local repair shop. With labor rates anywhere from $40 to $85 for many domestic-make mechanics, a high estimate would be $275.
This shouldn't be a drastically hard job to do. Get a handy, mechanically knowledgeable friend to help you, and you'll only be out $50 and an afternoon's worth of getting to know your truck. Or, if you buy the Haynes or Chilton repair manual (which would probably help you learn how to do this repair yourself), you could spend another $20, for a grand total of $70 or so. Trust me, it'll be worth it in the long run.
Q: Rear sliding window on a 1994 Ford Ranger?
I have a rear sliding window on my Ranger. I broke the middle piece and was wondering if anyone has ever replaced this part by themselves. I have the exact same size I ripped from a truck at the junkyard. Anyone have any step by step instructions on this? I have even looked but I cannot find anything about just changing the sliding piece.
A: although I have never replaced one, I have a broken one on my truck, and if you have a replacement you should be able to replace yours. I've used a piece of velcro on mine to keep it from rattling , works ok and don"t look bad.

A: First make sure the battery is fully charged, check all connections starting at the battery. Positive and negative cables, clean every connection, if cables are swollen replace with new, if still no start have the solenoid and starter checked.

My transmission keeps spilling out fluid when I tow my boat longer then an hour at speed of 60 mph. My transmission shifts good with no problems. Don't feel a bog down on hills.
I tow a 1982 rinker tri hull boat with 10 horse motor. This boat feels heavier then other tri hulls. I pulled floor up and there is no water in it.
