2003 Ford F150 questions and answers
Take a look at this great lense about the 2003 Ford F150.
Q: Can I put stock wheels from a 2003 Ford F150 on a 1996 Dodge Dakota?
If not, what is the difference? And is there any way I could make it work?
A: the above answer is right and anytime you have any questions regarding wheels you can use this web site to compare wheels and their dimensions and see for our self what will or will not fit it,its a good site to keep around, good luck http://tirerack.com
Q: 2003 ford f150 vibrations. Tires just rotated and balenced and vibration is still there?
The vibration starts at around 45 mph and only when I am giving it gas. the vibration is not a wobble. It feels like a back to front vibration, and you feel it in the truck not the steering wheel. I checked the driveshaft and it does not wiggle or move at the u-joints. Tires were just balenced and rotated. Please give me your thoughts.
A: I'd go with 144289s answer... U joint issues will cause this concern .. some rear end issues also but usually it's the u joints.. and as he said removal of the drive shaft is the only true way to inspect for this issue
Q: Does anyone know if there is a reset switch on 2003 Ford F150 ac?
I was wondering if there was a switch for the ac under the hood, like a relay switch for the compressor or where is the drier located?
A: Not that I know of. IS the A/C not working for sure? Is the pipe going from the compressor to the firewall getting cold? If it is, then the problem could be the blend door in the duct.
Q: i have a 2003 ford f150 when i get up to about 35miles the car start missing like spouting what is it?
A: could be a timing issue. Possibly something within the ignition coil. I would change plugs and wires and maybe even the ignition coil as well. Could also be just something as simple as having water in the gas. Many different options here that I did not list.
Q: 2003 Ford f150 what can it be?
To make verything simple let me tell this. When my 2003 ford f150 is running on the highway there is no problem with it. When I stop on a red light it shakes and then it shuts itself. I need to turn it on again so I can drive again. When its running their is no problem. When it stops it shuts. What can in be?
I forgot to mention this, When I stop at a red light I need to accelerate a little bit so it wont have to shut down.
A: could be a few things...
a thottle position sensor is one of the first ones that pops into mind...
more likely than that is a idle air control valve (IAC)
wow... J stang, way to bring something to the party.
Q: is a 2003 Ford F150 Harley Davidson worth buyin?
i want something fast i have a 10 month old and a 3 yearold is this 2003 Ford F150 Harley Davidson supercharged with 57,000 miles and its 17,999.... worth the price
A: In my very humble opinion, no. The Harley Fords are nice and as I can attest from driving my friends, they are fast. The problem is the premium the get just for the Harley name $18,000 is a whole lot of cabbage for a truck that is 6 years old and only good for being quick and pretty. It would be a sin to put even a scratch on a Harley truck, let alone haul anything or do any other truck stuff. These things are all about looks, and are not intended to be trucks. Take some time and test drive some other trucks. There are other supercharged trucks on the market with a lower price tag. I drive a Nissan (not SC'd) and its fast as hell! Fun to drive too.
Q: I have a 2003 Ford F150 V8 with Triton engine, I only get 400 km on one tank of gas, is this really bad?
My tank is 25 Gallons
It costs $75 canadian to fill it up and I can only go 400 km on one tank of gas!
A: I have one that goes about 350 miles on a tank. 400 km is about 240 miles. Figures out to be about 10 miles per gallon. Not real good, but could be worse. Depends on how you drive it.
Q: I have 2003 Ford F150. Had the oil changed and they didn't reset check engine light. How do I reset myself?
After taking my truck to have the oil changed I noticed the "check engine soon" light was still on.I bought the truck used and it has no owners manuel. Can anyone tell me how to reset the light so it will go off?I know it came on because it was a quart low.
A: The "Check engine soon" light did not come on because you needed an oil change. Theres something else that has that light on. Take it to the dealer and have it checked out.

Any suggestions are appreciated!
Anything from adaptors, plugs, anything!

there's not a cassette player, there's a CD player
A: your ford dealer has an accessory called Triptunes that adds an aux jack in your truck and works well with the iPod we have installed many
Q: 2003 Ford F150 will not start when air temps are below zero.?
My ford wil not start when it is below zero. It turns over fine, but it does not fire up. This is the only problem I have had with the truck. When the air warms a bit it starts. Any ideas on how to fix the problem ? New fuel pump, filter, anything ?
A: Have your charging system checked (altenator, battery, starter) you can do this for free at places like checkers and autozone

Q: What are your opinions of the 2003 FORD F150 HERITAGE?
I am considering getting one. The one I may get is a manual, which I want, but it has the old body style. Its extended cab which is a plus..but I don't know what the Heritage means....or if they are good.
Thanks
A: The heritage Ford is very good. Its no different than any other f150. They kept that old style for a few years for a cheaper way to own a new truck verses the more exspensive new body style. Its basically a new f150 with the old body style, thats it.
Q: How to remove original oem in dash 6 cd changer on a 2003 ford f150 SD truck?
I bought the Din Radio removal tools to remove the factory radio unit from my truck but I am having trouble pulling it out. The right removal tool will go into the unit perfectly and will click but the left removal tool will not go in and will not click. Therefore, the stereo unit will not come out. This was suppose to be easy, pulling my stereo unit out is a lot tougher than what I imagine. I wonder what I am doing wrong. Is there another way to remove the factory stereo?
My desire is to install a Peripheral PXFD98 (aux input) so I can connect my Archos mp3 player without losing my in dash 6 cd changer. I was told I needed to check the back of the factory stereo to see if it had a 16-pin and 20-pin connectors. I have not purchased anything outside of the Radio removal tool. What other aux input options do I have with my particular factory unit? Thanks
A: It takes finesse on some of these radios. Take it to a car audio shop. We usually could get them out. Honestly on the more difficult units, you have to know what you are feeling for. Also, are you sure you don't have to take a bezel piece off from around the deck?
