Q: Is putting a procharger on a 2006 ford mustang V6 worth the money and cost in mods in engine?
I had my doors blown the hell of by a small import last night. By the way if i could afford the GT model, I would have bought it back in November instead.
A: Good question. The 05/06 V6 is even getting a big following like the GT. These motors have shown good potential wether typical tuning and bolt-ons or turbos/superchargers. Both Vortech and Paxton have nice V-6 kits. The down side in comparison to the Procharger, they need to tap the oil pan were as the Procharger is self contained. As for how it will hold up? The 4.0 is too new with too few of them done up to truly know. But if you want to do this, your best bet is to start off with a kit with low boost 6-8psi. Put in lots of dyno time to make sure all is well, then maybe turn up the boost. Be careful though. I have seen these supercharged V-6 cars in the 12s! But thats alot more work then just straping on a supercharger. Check out the supercharger websites, to make sure they have the kit for you. You can also check out Paul's High Performance for that 12 second sixer! Mustang Racing Technologies is even messing with the idea of twin turbos on these sixers!
Q: 2006 Ford Mustang stock stereo question?
I have a 2006 Ford Mustang with a stock stereo that says its MP3 compatable but I cannot find anywhere to plug in my iPod. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
A: Your stereo will play MP3 files that you have burnt onto data CD's however if you want to listen to your actual iPod or MP3 player in the car, you will need to use an FM Transmitter that plugs into your iPod or MP3 player then plays it through your existing FM radio on a pre-set frequency. You can purchase these at most stores that sell MP3 players and they are not that expensive. Hope this helps!
Q: Does a 2006 Ford Mustang need an airbag replacement?
A few months ago the airbag light began coming on after a few minutes of driving and staying lit until the car was shut off. I took into a dealer who advised the side airbag be replaced for $570.
I took the car into another dealer about a year ago due to a passenger air bag recall that required the restraint control module to be reprogrammed. I am not sure if this may be related.
This car has never been in an accident or had any damage.
A: The only time an airbag needs replaced is when it has gone off, other than that you never need to mess with them.

A: you can get a v6 mustang for around 23,000 and a v8 for around 27,000 + depending on what type of model. regular, gt, cobra, mach 1, saleen. Lots of different types. Fun cars though.

Q: What do I do if someone put sugar in my gas tank. I have a 2006 Ford Mustang?
I can't afford to take it to the dealership.
A: Have it towed to a reputable quick lube they can save you a lot of money buy using a air operated vacuum pump it will drain your tank with out removing it,to understand the problem the sugar granules are not what causes the problem the sugar dissolves in the liquid that is your fuel so the granules will no longer be in you tank but you must remove the bad fuel then refill the tank and add a 12 oz bottle of fuel treatment I prefer Lucas fuel and upper cylinder but any upper end would do fine,the problem is that as the fuel/sugar enters the cylinders of your engine it is heated and forms a glaze on the cylinder walls and after it cools off you will not be able to build compression,in fact I have seen many people drain or top off their tanks when this has happened to them with no ill effects,it takes a lot of sugar to do the job,most people thank God do not realize how much it takes and often fall short.

A: just keep it stock and have somebody run a wire from the back of the radio down under the shifter and into the console and u got an ipod port and it still looks stock for a very inexpensive fix!

A: I don't know about your specific model, but most Mustang taillight bulbs are accessed from the rear via the trunk.

Q: I have a shaker 500 stereo in my 2006 ford mustang. i am only able to get even frequencies. How do i change?
i want to be able to change to a frequency with a weak signal for sirius radio but the shaker system only goes to the strongest frequency and skips the ones in the gaps.
A: Press menu button until Autoset is displayed. Then use up or down arrow to right of CD slot to turn Autoset on/off. Then use up and down arrows to change to the frequency you want.

A: The GT500 didn't come out untill the 07 model year. If your buying this car used it probably a regular GT Mustang that has been made to look like a GT500.

Window It's fine but when I roll it up it will roll right back down half way. What could it be?
A: It sounds like you could have a short in your window switch or a bad relay somewhere. I would take it to a shop and have it checked out.
