Q: About how much will it be to tint my 2003 Honda Accord?
The tint job on my 2003 Honda Accord EX is kinda jacked up. So im wondering, is it possible for someone to remove the old tint, and put a new darker one in all the windows? About how much will this cost me? Thanks, :)

A: it is possible to remove old jacked up tint and put in darker tint or the darkest tint available. the cost will depend where you go. over here i can get all mine done for 180 or a different shop for 260. the 180 gives a 5 year warranty and 260 lifetime warranty. it is recommended to get it done proffesionaly because of warranty and great tint quality. shops that sell tint rolls usualy have low quality tint

Q: Why does my air bag light come on sometimes on a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe?
The light comes on most days after I have parked my car. It will come on occasionally from when I start my car and stay on until I restart the car. The car has about 55k miles and is a V-6. No other lights are on and the car drives fine. I think this is a sensor that is bad but I do not have the money to pay $125 to get it diagnosed. I would not even fix it but state inspection requires no dashboard lights to be on.

A: there is no consistant reason for the SRS on that year or model. There is a strong possibility that the problem is with a switch in the seat belt buckle that tells the system you have your seat belt fastened as that was a common problem across all Honda models but there are at least 15 other reasonst he ligth could be on. if money for diagnosis is tight, take your car to a local body shop. they can use the two pin MES connector under the dash by the steering column to retrieve the code. most body shops will either not charge you or charge you a minimal amount to pull the code. Most know how to do it as they continuously replace air bag components because of accidents. if the problem is with the seat belt buckle then it is covered by Honda under their lifetime seatbelt warranty. You would have to go to a Honda dealer for that repair but it would be under warranty if it is the seat belt buckle issue. Any other problem is long past the expiration of the warranty and you would need to pay for the repair. hope that helps

Q: How do you recalibrate the brake calipers on a 2003 Honda Accord?
I am trying to change the brakes on my car and I can't get the brake calipers to go back in so they can fit over my new pads. I have been trying to use a C clamp but it is not budging. Is there something that I need to do to relieve the pressure? Any helpful hints?

A: On some brake calipers you will have to spin the piston in like a screw to get it to retract.

Q: Does the remote keyless starter disarm the anti-theft system on a 2003 Honda Accord?
Once in a while, when I get in my Honda, the anti-theft will arm itself and if I try to jiggle the steering wheel (unlocking the ignition) and start the car with the key, the alarm will go off. The last time this happened, I tried taking the key out and using the remote to get the car to shut up. The remote starter seemed to do the trick. So, will I not have to put up with the alarm if I just stick to using the remote keyless starter?

A: The factory security system is deactivated in either of two ways. If you lock the car, the system arms. You can disarm the system by either using the remote keyless entry or by unlocking the dirver's door with the key. There are aftermarket alarms that dealers sold and installed on cars. most of them are vibration sensors. They too should be canceled when either the door is unlocked or the remote is used to unlock the doors but often times these system have a separate remote control. If the remote you are using says "Honda" on it, then you have the factory alarm. If it says anything else, its a non-Honda alarm. hope that helps

Q: What will it cost to get a new oxygen sensor on a 2003 Honda Accord?
I need to have it installed too.

A: I got one at all parts with all the connections for $25.

Q: Can't clean between the seats of my 2003 Honda Accord any suggestions?
Does anyone have any idea how to clean in the area between the front passenger seats and the center console? That area is positively dirty and i cant seem to get a vacuum down there. does anyone know of any special attachements? The vacumm at the car wash with the long hose didn't even fit. 2003 Honda Accord 4 door sedan

A: it is really easy to clean the whole car if you remove the seats... which is a really simple task, and its even easy to put them back in. You will be able to clean better than ever before. There are 4 bolts one at each corner of the seat, and usually a wire that is a quick connect harness. Then with the seats out you can clean the whole car whilst being able to move around more freely as well as just between the seats.

Q: How can I turn off the brake light indicator & TCS light on 2003 Honda Accord?
I just left the shop to have my brake fluid and oil changed. After leaving the shop I noticed the TCS light & brake light remained on. After 5 mins of driving the TCS light has gone off but the brake light remains on. What could be the problem?

A: Just to tell you straight off, theres no way you can turn it off yourself (no buttons). Any car years 2000 and up are programed to leave those dash lights on until the car gets hooked up to a shop computer (diagnostic computer) and only them can really turn that off for you. The TCS is your Traction Control System which means that it turned on cuz the car had no traction (your wheels were spinning) and the TCS slows the tires down until the car got a grip on the road. The brake light might be cuz your brake shoes or rotors might be worn out but not too sure. My suggestion to you is to take the car back to the shop and ask them why this is happening only moments after you took your car out of the shop.

Q: What wrong with my 2003 Honda Accord Coupe EX remote?
Yesterday it was working fine but today when i got to work i tried to lock my doors with the remote and everything would lock but the drivers side door. I was able to unlock the car this morning with the remote and even when i lock it manually it wont unlock with the remote. I was able to lock my car with the key. But I am wondering if there is something wrong with the power lock in the door?

A: door lock actuator is no longer working or you have a open in a wire leading to the actuator, if i am reading your ? correctly it will unlock but not lock, that tells me that the wiring is fine, but the actuator is inop. repair normaly takes about 30-60 min depending on the tech's experiance level. not a job for a do it yourselfer, on a rating of one to five dificulty is probably a 3.5

Q: How do I fix the power steering pump on my 2003 honda accord?
the pump was spitting fluid out of the res. was told it was a bad pump. put new pump on and it is still spitting fluid out and whining. what do I do how do I fix it!!!

A: I agree that air is being introduced into the system. Was the pump bled after it was replaced? Was Honda power steering fluid used? If so then I would check the rack and pinion. Usually when they go bad there will be signs of leakage at either of the rack boots at the tie rod ends. I've replaced many Honda rack and pinions, but very few Honda power steering pumps in the last 20 years. Good luck and hope this helps.

Q: 2003 Honda Accord Coupe EX radio problem?
I got the 2003 Honda Accord Coupe EX. The radio and CD player works, but it is very hard to see the numbers in the screen. I think it is a blown fuse, but I am not sure. Anyone know what could be the problem?

A: The lights that illuminate the screen are probably bad. The fuses that are associated with the radio are only to protect the unit itself, and if they were blown, the radio would not power on at all.

Q: How do i remove the drivers side door armrest on a 2003 Honda Accord?
i am replacing the power window switch and need to take the armrest off to get to it

A: usually there is a plug or hidden screw on the front and these screw have to come out/ i think that the switch comes off the armrest with out removal. check it out

Q: I have a radio console lighting problem with my 2003 Honda Accord. Radio works, but no lights. Which fuse?
2003 Honda Accord: What specific fuse in the fuse box controls the lights in the central radio console? My Owner's Manual fuse diagram doesn't identify it by name. All systems work, but there is no lighting, including on the floor shifting console. I suspect the problem is a fuse, not the actual lights, because all of the central console lighting is out, but everything in these consoles works fine.

A: all else fails...go thru all your fuses and replace the blown ones. keep in mind there may be more than one fuse box.

Q: I have a 2003 Honda Accord and my check engine light came on this mornin?
Does this mean it needs immediate attention? Would it be safe for me to drive 200 miles home? I am a college student

A: check all fluids and drive home...get free scan at advance [or other parts store]...honda charges 75 to 100 dollars.could be loose gas cap.. could be major problem..

Q: How much does it cost to wire your 2003 Honda Accord with a hookup for an MP3 player?
I'm sick of burning CDs, I want my Ipod with me.

A: You could do it yourself, but it does involve some work. You have to pull the whole radio out and hook the cords to the back of it for these http://www.crutchfield.com/g_50900/Auxiliary-Input-Adapters.html If you bought it from a major chain electronics store, it could cost up to $100 to install it (not including the adapter). Maybe you can try a FM transmitter? I use that with my '03 Accord, works great for the $ 40 it cost.
