Where is the check engine light code reader hook up in a 2006 Honda civic?
A: Under the driver's side dash board, just like every car since 2000 when all the manufacturers finally came into compliance. If there's another location, it will be specified in the owner's manual.

Q: Why would a 2006 Honda Civic cost less than a 2004?
The cars have similar features (including the color), and the 2004 has about 23,000 miles. Does the dealer have an incentive to sell the newer car?
A: Supply and demand. The dealer can always get another 2006 model, but the 2004 models are harder to come by. The 2004 is actually worth less, but people who don't like the split digital dashboard on the 2006 model might be willing to pay more not to have the "Star Wars" look.
Personally, I prefer the 2006 model (bought one in February) because the previous model year Civics didn't have side impact air bags. I deliberately held off on buying a Civic until that feature was available. I don't really care if the speedometer is digital or analog as long as it's accurate.
Q: Do you know where the Temperature Coolant sensor is located in a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe?
A: Passenger side of the engine underneath the distributor.
Q: What do you think is the nicest color on the 2006 honda civic coupe?
A: I bought one of these the month they came out last year, and choosing the color was actually the hardest part.
*If you wash your car like crazy, the black is way cool. I liked it the best, but I knew it'd be filthy looking about 80% of the time.
*The red is nice, too, and compliments the lines on the car really well, but I'm just not a red car kinda guy. Stastics have shown for years that, for some unknown reason, you're more likely to be ticketed in a red car than in any other color.
*There's a medium blue that's really nice, but I thought it was a good girl color rather than a guy color, so I shied away from it.
*While most any car looks good in silver, and it's a good dirt hiding color, silver will blend into the asphalt and make your car virtually invisible to inattentive drivers on overcast days...Particularly a car of this size.
*In the end, I bought the Galaxy Grey. Not only does it hide dirt and road dust exceptionally well (I only wash it every 4-6 weeks), but because of its grey/green/brown/taupe-ish color flecking, it ends up being a different color depending on the cloud cover that day, which is kind of fun.
No matter which color you get, you're getting a great car. For fun, you can use the link below to switch the colors around and see which one you like the best.
Q: 2006 Honda Civic 12 Volt source in Trunk?
Does any one know if the 2006 Honda Civic has a 12 Volt source in Trunk. I am trying to install a outlet that will allow me to plug in items for emergency work. Thanks
How can I get past the firewall thats the real problem
A: There is nothing that you can plug into that is safe to load with more amperage! BUT you can run a new circuit from the power distribution block under the hood. Just make sure to use a fuse in the circuit to protect all that expensive electronics in your car!!! AND ALWAYS run a ground when you run a hot! Dont just ground to any thing unless you KNOW there is a perfect connection to the battery ground!
Q: Is it okay to fit 17 or 18 inch rims on my 2006 honda civic sedan?
Will doing this wreck the car or/and void my car warrenty
I need bigger rims
A: Points to concider are, rolling diameter of tyres, must be within manufacturers specs, clearence of inner and outer guards when turned lock to lock and clearence of the struts.
Appart from that then go for it, it will not void your warranty or insurance so long as the tyres are road legal and pass state road worthy laws.
Q: Will factory 2006 honda civic rims fit on a 2005 honda civic?
Is there any difference in the positioning of the lug nuts or anything else that would not allow them to be transferred from the 06 to the 05 Civic?
A: i do believe the 05 is the old body style and the 06 is the new, if so check the lug nuts, i think 05 is 4 lug and 06+up is 5 lug so possibly no.
Q: Does the 2006 honda Civic have cars with the option of leather seating?
A: yes, cost you more then to buy the seats separately and you install them, which is extremely easy
Q: what is the radio code to my 2006 honda civic coupe ex?
i just got my car back from the body shop. when i tried to turn on the radio, the radio says, "enter code" ... what is the code to get my radio to work?
A: call the dealership that you purchased the car from, prove ownership and provide them with your VIN and they will give you your 5 digit code. the body shop should have taken care of that for you.
