2007 Honda Accord questions and answers
Take a look at this great lense about the 2007 Honda Accord.
Q: How do i hook up a sub to my 2007 honda accord?
A friend of mine gave me his 10 inch subs that were used for his truck, so the box is thin. How can i hook it up, and if i do, will i get some decent bump?
A: I hate to burst your bubble, but you can't just hook up subs. you need an amplifier. the amplifier, just as expensive as the subs, is what gives them power and pushes them. without an amp u cannot power your subs. (once you get an amp,) hook a wire (mine was blue) to the positive terminal of the battery of your car, the other end goes into the positive of your amp. hook up the ground wire (mine is white) to the body of your car (just attach it to a screw). after, attach the positive and negative wires of your subs to positive and negative output of your amp.
you also need to hook the amp up to the deck of your car. to do this, remove the dash trimming of your cars dash, then unbolt the deck. hook the output of your deck to the input of your amp. Most amps require what is called a remote to run. this is just a wire which a small amount of electricity runs through in order to tell the amp to turn on (this prevents the amp from being on and draining your battery when your car is not on). some decks have a wire input to do this, but if not u can attach it to the back of your cigarette lighter to power it. once all of this is done, then your subs will work.
Heres a breakdown of my prices that i paid for all of my stuff:
2) 12" subs: $160 each (800 watt rms, 1000 peak)
1) Alpine amplifier: $400 (800 watt rms)
1) Pioneer deck $150
yeah, and if you buy it, the store will probably install it for free. its hard to do by yourself, but like i said you NEED an amp too, or it wont work at all
Q: Can I turn off the Day Running Lights on my 2007 Honda Accord?
I just bought my car the other day and I cannot stand my day running lights already. I asked my salesman if I can turn them off, he said no, but that is definitely a lie. Does anyone know how? Or do I have to bring the car to the service guys?
It's a law in other countries, but not the US. And I don't want them because there really isn't a need for them. It's sunny during the day when they're on, they're pointless. My family just bought 3 new cars and mine is the only one with DRL. So I was just curious.
A: On my civic 2007 it is fuse #37. I just removed it and DRL are off now. This way it keep the lights life longer and also make more sense not them have it on in the bright sunny days look stupid.
For accords look in the manual where electric schema is and find the fuse for DRL and remove it thats all.
Q: Any idea on the cheapest way to get a replacement key for my 2007 Honda Accord?
I have the bar code that came with the valet so I think it is the key code.
A: Honda dealer is the only way if you want to use it to operate the car. It isn't cheap. The new cars with the "coded" keys run $100 to $300 depending on the car. Losing car keys these days is a total (expensive) bummer.
Q: Should I get an ipod adapter or replace the radio in my 2007 Honda Accord?
I want to get my iphone connected to my radio. I know it's hard to replace a radio in the Accords because the climate controls are mixed in with the mount, but I've had troubles with the radio so I was considering replacing it anyway. Is it worth the trouble or should I just get an adapter?
A: If I were you I would just replace the radio. Get one with an aux port. The ipod adapters usually have poor sound quality in my opinion. Go to crutchfield.com and select what car you have and they will show the radios that fit into your car. And they include the wiring adapter, that would cost you 15-20 bucks seperatly.
Are the climate control wires in the same bundle as your stereo wires. They shouldnt be, and if not you shouldnt have too much trouble. Just color match and splice the wires from the stereo into the wiring harness adaptor wires and hook up the antenna, and you should be good to go
Q: Best tires for a 2007 Honda Accord?
I have a 2007 Honda Accord Sedan, EX V6. I've got about 35,000 miles on it and it's time to get some new tires.
215/50R17's.
I'm looking to do what every consumer wants to do--get the best tire for the money. I'd prefer not to spend a fortune, but I do want quality. Ride noise is a big deal for me. Probably looking for 40-50K mile tires. Suggestions?
A: I personally like Toyo tires, particularly the TPT's and Proxes 4. Toyos are not the cheapest tires, but they seem to last longer than any other brand I have used. The TPT's and Versado's aren't noisy, so you might want to look into those.
Q: how to fix 6 cd changer in 2007 honda accord?
I have six cds in it and it's been working fine.
I was trying to change some cds and it got stuck, it would run for a while but display "error". I believe it is an 06 accord.
Is there anything I can do myself?
A: If it's an 2007, it's under warranty - go back to the dealer.
My guess as to what's wrong, since you didn't tell us - you have at least one CD in there that's homemade with a peel and stick label on it, right?
That's your problem - now it's stuck, don't use those, better to label such CD's with a permanent marker. Don't tell the dealer if that's the case, just let them look at it, hopefully they won't charge you since this would not technically be covered by the warranty.
Q: What gas should I use with my 2007 Honda Accord Sedan?
Should I use Regular or the middle grade. I know the highest one (premium is not needed).
A: Use whatever it says in your owners manual. Higher octane gas is not better as some people think.
Q: How do you reset the maintenance light for oil changes on a 2007 honda accord?
A: On the dash, you will see the reset button by the odometer. Put key in ignition but dont turn, hold the reset button down with one hand and hold it, with the other hand turn the key to the on position (where the red lights come on but dont start), wait ten secs or so and the maint light will blink, release reset button and start car to make sure it reset, if it didn't try again.
Q: Whats a really good aftermarket part for 2007 honda accord 4cyl?
A: Don`t listen to the mustang tard above. He doesn`t respect people enough to let them build what the want to build. We live in a free country where people can do whatever they want.
I guess he thinks everyone on the road should be driving mustangs...yeah that would look cool.
If you want a good performance part, buy a K-pro ECU and get it tuned.
Q: What maintenance schedule do I really need for my 2007 Honda Accord?
A: The car will flip on the maintenance light when it needs it for the 2007 model (we have an 07 Accord EXL) but if you prefer to be proactive, I'd bring it in for a check up and oil change every 5000 miles or so.
Q: What is the biggest size rims i can put on my 2007 honda accord?
A: 19" or 20" but they are going to rub. Use 18" w/ a low profile tire. Best idea to use 18's. Looks nice.
Q: How long would my 2007 Honda Accord run in good shape if I make 6000 Km per month?
A: Average mileage clock is approx 25,000 km per year. You are clocking about 6000 km a month and that is about 72,000 km a year about 3 times more.
Simple logic tells us that it is going to run down 3 times faster. This is so , because a car is a mechanical machine and your maintaining cost is also going to be 3 times more.
This is the reason why Taxis are scrapped in 7 years, whereas private Cars in 10 years. Taxis also run like mad in a day.
Q: Is there a difference in the headlights from a 2003-2005 Honda Accord to a 2006-2007 Honda Accord?
There are an assortment of Projector headlight units I'm looking at possibly purchasing for my 2007 Accord, but most only go from 2003-2005 or from 03-06. Any help in answering this would be greatly appreciated.
A: mmmmmmmmmm the warranty??? ok, is the same shitty car with only 3 years difference. get the civic, is cheaper and faster.
Q: Which one should I get: a 1998 Dodge Dakota or 2007 Honda Accord?
They are both my uncles car and he is getting ride of them to get a new truck. So, the Dakota has 130,000 miles but has never had any problems and is physically in good condition, it is the V8 version. The Accord has 33,000 miles, it is the V6 model. I would have to pay full price for the Accord or get the Dakota for free. Which one is the better choice, your opinion is greatly appreciated.
A: This question is a no brainer. Get the truck, its free. Why pay for a car or vehicle if you don't have to.
Q: I have a 2007 honda accord and my car starts but the radio is completely dead.?
The radio screen is blank. I tried turning the car off and on and it will no come on. What do u think is the problem? I hope its not electrical. Everything else seems to be working fine
A: Your car has many fuses that sends an electrical signal to your radio as well as lights in your car. When an electrical impulse is sent through the fuse that is to strong for your radio to handle, the fuse blows to protect the impulse from reaching your radio and damaging the electronics. Locate the fuse box in your car (owners manual) and remove the blown fuse. Take this into a auto parts store and ask for a new one. It has a VERY low replacement cost and is very, very easy to do yourself.
