Q: Where would I find the IAT sensor on a 2007 Honda CRV EX?
I found a connection that has two prongs and is to the right of the main block. I thought that was it and connected the resistor. When I hooked the battery back up, all of my lights were flashing. I took the resistor off and still the same problem. I realize I need to enter a code to reset the radio and the manual said it may take a couple of days to reset everything else. I still need to know if I hooked the resistor in the right place. Thank you.
A: I don't know what you connected your resistor to but it wasn't the IAT from your description of a 2 terminal connector. The IAT is part of the MAS on the 2007 CRV. The MAS (Mass Airflow Sensor) has a 4 pin connector to the combined MAS/IAT that sits on the throttle body housing.
take the resistor out of whatever you put it in. throw the resistor away or send it back to whoever sold you on the idea that you will save gas using it. These system are so sophisticated that the on-board control system will compensate for the change in the resistance value of the IAT and adjust the fuel mixture. Plus you're only asking for driveability problems.
disconnect the battery and leave the cables off for 5 minutes, then reconnect them
you will need to enter the code to reactivate the radio. the code should be on a white card that came with the owners manual. if not, it may be on a white label that is affixed to the inside of your glove box. if you can't find the code, call your dealer.
when you start the engine, let it run for 10 minutes without any accessories on (no radio, headlights, air conditioning/defroster etc) so that the car will relearn the idle values.

Q: Is a 5 year loan a good idea on a 2007 Honda CRV?
The car I have now is my first car and i bought it flat for $3500 cash. It's a clunker and I've had it for 2 years and it's starting to burn out. I am looking to buy a new (used) car and am kinda nervous about taking out a loan. After never having a car note, I'm nervous about taking a loan out for 5 years on a car that will not be worth it in the end. From what I have researched, Hondas have good reputations for dependability and good resale values. What do you guys think?
A: Sounds fine. Just make sure you do your research and get a fair deal on the car. Don't just go in and pay whatever is on the window as the price. Start at least 20% lower.
Does your current car qualify for 'Cash for Clunkers' program?
If it does, they you may want to consider purchasing a new CRV. With $4500 applied toward the new vehicle right off the bat, then the price may be comparable to a 2007 with low miles.
In addition, financing on new cars is typically a little better and you get a full factory warranty.
Q: how difficult is it to change a passenger side highbeam/drl bulb in a 2007 Honda CRV?
While driving to work this am in the dark, I noticed my passenger Highbeam was out. Once I put it in park the DRL light lite up on the dash. The highbeam is out. So I called around for an estimate and it's approximately $70.00.
My husband is a mechanic and he said he isn't sure if he can do it. If it's just unplugging the bulb, yes. If it takes an hour to disassemble it, no. Help...
A: should be just a case of taking rubber seal off back of light unit under bonnet and removing plug on back of bulb and undoing the spring retaining clip, bulb will only fit in one way, so have a good look first.

A: I just got it last week and I absolutely love it. It's a smooth ride, gets great gas mileage and it drives like an Accord. It's not too high off the ground so you can easily get into your car. Even though its a 4 Cylinder, it still has power.

A: My thoughts? It will be worth 40% of its retail price in less than 4.5 years. If you like these little cars with big tires...just buy a good used one! Hondas last a long time, so there should be no fear buying a good used one! However, if you want a little car with big tires(car-based SUV) The Toyota Rav4 is all new this year...much improved with great reviews. Also, the Ford Escape Hybrid is holding up marvelously in TAXI duty in Los Angeles...If it will withstand TAXI service...it will hold up well to anything!
Be sure to pay cash...Never borrow money to buy a car! Why buy new when Used will DO?!?!?!

A: In my opinion, no. I am 6'1", and I test drove one. With the seat all the way back, my knees hit the plastic under the steering column. In a wreck, my knees would have been gone.

A: you could if you want to, unless they are HID then best to keep it like that.
you could try PIAA. they have different color tinted bulb. they're really nice and somewhat kind of expensive.

A: From someone who works at a high volume Honda dealership I can honestly say we have had no problems with the new 2007 crvs. however they are still too new. the motor and the drive-train are identical to the 2003 accord and crv (with the difference of the all wheel drive system) and have been updated each year.
