Take a look at this great lense about Toyota.

Q: How can i boost a 91 toyota 4runner and make it lighter?
So my cousin has a toyota 4runner a 97 at that it has no power even in 4 wheel drive what mods can i do or something i work on cars i just dont know much about toyotas someone give me some hints if you have any plese also i want to know if there is a way to make it lighter thanks.

A: I was going to ask if it's a 91 or 97. But it doesn't matter. A 4Runner is not a sports car. It has a lot of torque for pulling, but not for driving fast. If you want something that drives fast, get a Sports car not an SUV.

Q: What is the average lifespan of a Toyota Prius hybrid?
How many miles will the engine/battery do? What about the electric motor? I'm wondering if seeing as though a Toyota Corolla will last hundreds of thousands of miles, and several decades with care, whether a Corolla will be more environmentally friendly in the long term.

A: The answer to the motor and battery life questions aren't really known because there aren't enough Prius out there with 300,000 to 400,000 miles on them. However, there is no reason currently to suspect they won't last as long as any other Toyota. Industrial size electric motors have been known to last for decades. Both my 2001 and 2004 are still going strong. The large traction batteries have had less than 1% failure and are almost completely recyclable. They are less toxic than the lead-acid batteries found in every car. In addition, Toyota pays $200 to insure that they will get recycled. They can also be reconditioned by several firms that specialize in this further lengthening their lives. In addition to all that the Prius has been designed for recycling. Most of the plastics are bio-plastics, the wiring harness can be easily pulled out to recycle the copper. It's made in a no-landfill factory. It's also a practically zero emissions (PZEV) car. Compared to the Corollas I've driven on my commute, it gets easily double the mpg. It's also a mid-sized car rather than a compact so there is more passenger and cargo room. It's unlikely the Corolla could compete environmentally.

Q: What happened to NASA investigation of toyota electrical systems?
The government ordered NASA to investigate the electrical systems of Toyota for deeper investigation into recall. Where is that investigation going? NASA is space agency. Since when did it get the authority to go into car exploration too? Meanwhile Toyota announced $1.2 billion profit in latest quarter. So then what are NASA's findings of Toyota?

A: They are still doing it ... but quietly.

Q: Can I switch my newly bought Toyota Camry with another same Toyota Camry if my old one has problems?
Hi. I just got a new Toyota Camry, and it has a slight problem that I am concerned about. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and I noticed it had this problem, and I was just wondering if I could switch it out with another Toyota Camry. Can anyone tell me?

A: If you bought it from a non dealer then you are out of luck. Otherwise head to the dealer and mention toyota support and tell about the problem. They should be glad to answer. I have been looking at their website and it doesn't look like they would be able to send you a new one, but I guaratee your dealer or possibly your insurance company will either cover the payment for the repair or trade in. Make sure you be stern when you go to the dealer and say that their are problems with your car since you purchased and that you thought it was going to go away and that you demand to have it fixed. That should do the trick :D good luck

A: I have a 2010 and my plug is in the passenger side...those little pockets on the side/floor...i have no idea what they're called. lol

Q: How do I reprogram my Toyota Corolla's keyless-entry transmitter?
I recently replaced the battery of the keyless transmitter of my 1998 "Lovelife" Toyota Corolla, and now it won't work anymore. I heard there's a method to reprogram it. Rather than to bring it to a Toyota dealer and spend money, is there a way to reprogram it myself?

A: I looked it up on the internet and found the process in less than a minute.I typed in reprograming toyota keyless entry. SIx different individuals ran through the process ,easy good luck

Q: Is a mitsubishi Verada a better buy than a Toyota Soarer or ford probe ?
Hi guys, I am in the process of looking for a seconf hand car and i was wondering hoe some of them compare. I've done some research already, these are a few of the car I would consider : Mitsubishi verada, Toyota soarer, Honda prelude, Ford probe ? I've always driven pretty old cars, but this time I want to drive something that's abit more ''sporty'' and fun. Thanks for the advice !

A: I had a Probe GT and would not recommend this car. Too costly to maintain.
